Rodney Giles funeral
Rodney Lionel William Giles (1936 Dec 05 – 2021 Apr 23) was a long standing attender at Croydon Meeting.
In 1942 he was in hospital for some childhood illnesss. When he came out he asked “where’s Shirley” and received the devastating news: “she has died”. Shirley Ethel Phoebe Giles, two years Rodney’s senior had died of meningitis.
